Dear CSA members and friends,
The end of the season is a chance to reflect upon what has happened over the last year and where you are going in the ones ahead. We've mulled over a lot of things in the last few weeks, and we are sad to tell you that Lyndee and I have decided to end our farming adventure for a multitude of personal reasons. However, we are excited about the opportunities that life continually provides for us and we consider ourselves very lucky indeed.
So we are selling the farm and moving on to new adventures! We haven't yet had time to think about what lies ahead, but we'll be taking some time over the winter to devise new plans that will define the next 10 years of our lives.
We thank you all once again for the support you have given us, especially during a year as challenging 2016 has been from a farming perspective. Your continued support for local farms and the farmers that run them contributes to the economic and ecological diversity of our communities. Indeed you are actively participating in making these vibrant and more resilient, and nothing could be more important in this world fraught with major challenges in terms of our food systems and our environment.
We encourage you to continue supporting local farms and other such businesses that go the extra mile to do things "right" and that care about more than the bottom line.
In the meantime, we wish you all well.
Denis & Lyndee
